The most beautiful rice terrace spot

La Pan Tan village is the region has most beautiful terraces in Mu Cang Chai district – Yen Bai province – North West of Vietnam, located on the road side of highways 32 the part route in between Tu Le commune and Mu Cang Chai. Together with Tu Le Commune, Lim Mong Village, La Pan Tan village is also one of Mu Cang Chai’s attractions. This place is a destination tourists can’t deny it charming beauty.

The rice terrace fields in La Pan Tan village have been known as national landscapes by the Ministry of Culture – Sports and Tourism. There have been Yen Bai festival Mu Cang Chai rice terrace fields to attract more attention of domestic and international tourists about Mu Cang Chai. This region of northwest Vietnam might not have developed economy but Natural Mother gave this landscape a lot of goodwill with majestic mountain, temperate climate, great picture from rivers and mountains. Mu Cang Chai Rice Terrace Fields stretching across the mountainside, layer by layer reaching up as endless, with about 2,200 hectares of rice terraces, of which 500 hectares of terraces of 3 communes such as La Pan Tan village, Che Cu Nha village and De Xu Phinh village. 

In early spring, people not only find the wild beauty, great majesty but also see a beautiful and charming flower season. White, yellow flowers, peach blossoms are familiar names to the people of the plains. Besides, there is another strange flower, every time hearing about that tourists always think about flower forest blooming in the sunshine. That is “Tớ Dày” flower. The beauty of the tớ dày flower is like the beauty of the young men, the H’Mong girls.

Tớ dày Flower – “Fairy” sleeping in the middle of the mountains At the end of the year, along the winding and quiet roads into La Pan Tan Village, you may think you just lost in a world that is full of flowers, layers in each other until no stopping point. Tớ dày trees brighten pink light, like new energy signifying a powerful spring. In front of the house, the children with their rounded eyes are playing happily under the flower trees, sometimes they shake the branches and a petal rain falls on the ground, that really make people feel touched.

At the beginning of the season, Tớ dày flowers are not too bright. Only at the end of the rainy day, that kind of flower grows up the most. At that time, the fragile flowers, with long red stigma with a light pink or dark pink blooms out strongly.

The colour of Tớ Dày flowers brings the feeling both far and close, both dreaming and real. They dyed all La Pan Tan Village in pink. That makes the mountains and forest like brighter. Although you can’t feel the scent of Tớ dày flowers, in state of that this kind of flower have beauty not much of other flowers can compare. As it gets colder, tớ dày flower is more and more beautiful. In front of every house in La Pan Tan Village, before the fence, Tớ dày flowers bloom proudly. The beauty of flowers combined with colourful costumes of the H’Mong girls create an energy spring from the remote landscape.

These days, people have chance to visit La Pan Tan Village to be immersed in dreaming fog, feeling the cold in the early season of Tay Bac zone, listening trumpet’s sound – the sound to call lover, and seeing Tớ dày flowers in the sunshine. That is so amazing. Coming to La Pan Tan village, you will never regret.
